If you aren’t a guru then you may (like me) find keyword research difficult. Actually I can find loads of keywords. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.
I thought the data from Google’s keyword tool was always bang on. I mean, they wouldn’t be telling fibs about their data, would they? Well, that’s not always the case.
The data returned isn’t accurate. It would have been correct at some point though. The answer to this particular enigma came to me almost accidentally.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. Great I thought, I can nail that. I put out probably thousands of articles.
Not long after I saw that there were now almost nine thousand competing sites. I was shocked at this huge difference. Looked like it was going to be hard work. It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.
My point being is that I’d have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A win win situation if you ask me.
Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. I calculated the cost against the time it would take me and it seemed a value for money concept.
Of the keyword research services on offer I opted to try Travis Sago’s Instacash. Travis being at the top of the bum marketing pile. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. When all I have is time then two hours saved can be huge to me. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m simply outsourcing the job to a keyword research service.
Do you wanna know how it went with the Instacash service? Get on over to my website and I’ll tell you. I mentioned earlier about getting thousands of articles published for a good keyword. I’ll let you know how I did that on my site
