Logo Price: What Amount Should You Spend For Your Logo

How much you should pay for a logo design depends on a few factors. A quick internet search will show that logo prices range from $50 to $50,000 depending on who you employ.

There is a legitimate reason for the big difference logo design prices. A $50,000 logo price tag would probably be part of a huge branding campaign strategy tailor made by branding consultants. The campaign cost per se could reach 7 figures.

This type of package is more appropriate for Fortune 500 companies who are able to afford such a colossal fee. Branding campaigns like this are responsible for the global recognition of Nike’s Swoosh logo. Huge multinationals like Sony and Toyota spend millions yearly on branding and rebranding campaigns.   

Not surprisingly, a large number of businesses would not be able afford the services of branding consultants. A more feasible manner would be to hire logo designers. The logo design rates from those designers are around $1000 to $2000 per logo. Much of their time is invested in researching the company, its philosophy and its historic. Since all of this takes up valuable time and time is money, they thus have to charge for it. This sort of service is suitable for those who prefer to speak at length to designers and are in no hurry to receive their designs.

Having said that, many businesses may still find that a logo price of $1000 is still too high. Hence, many taken to the internet seeking more budget friendly alternatives.

Online logo designers charge the lowest for their services. At logo prices of $50 to $500 per logo, their logo design rates are clearly the lowest available. The reason for the low logo price is rather simple. There is no red tape, no seemingly endless proposals and no 300 page manual explaining why they chose red instead of purple.

In addition to lower logo design rates, customers can look forward to faster turnaround times as well.

Sadly, it is not all smooth sailing. Not all online logo design companies afford you the same value for money services so it is crucial that you read the small print. Certain low price design firms have a tendency to limit the number of revisions allowed. They might offer lower logo design rates but they will charge for alterations. Sneaky indeed.

Watch out for designers who provide low resolution file formats which are not acceptable for print. Be sure that the logo design price includes print quality final file formats. You will need them if you want to print envelops or marketing collateral in the future.

Also, be sure your logos can be trademarked. Many customers find themselves in a spot when they find out their logo is not entirely one of a kind due to use of a public domain clip art. And this can have a detrimental affect on their efforts to have their logo trademarked.
